Last week Realme introduced the first phone with a 240W charging system. Last year the campany briefly held the title with the Gt Neo 3 which had a 150W charging system but due to advancements in the past year 150W is now the slowest option.

The Realme GT Neo 5 240W has a larger 4 600mAh battery than the GT Neo 3 150W did last year which was 100mAh smaller. Regarding the Gt Neo 5 the 150W version has returned to the full 5ooomAh capacity 80W GT Neo3.

This is remarkable progress in a year and while phones with the fastest charging speed still lose battery capacity this loss is decreasing over time, Additionally the loss is completely eliminated if you are willing to accept only 150W. Additionally the 240W model can be fully charged in just under 10 minutes as we should point out.

 Realme is not ready to switch to the snapdragon 8 Gen 2 yet but we where fine with using the 8 Gen 1 because of its midrange pricing. The 240W model costs CNY   3,200 (470/€440/38,750) for 16/256GB of memory while the 150W model costs CNY  2,500 (370/€345/30,250).

 And despite the fact that you may believe that these are fairly low prices for 8 Gen 1 phones which they are check out this. The base 16GB / 256GB phone costs CNY  3,500 ($515/€480/42,500) more for the fully loaded 16GB / 1TB 240W model.What is Samsungs pricing for phones with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM Right.

Even though we adore RGB lighting on the back we probably would swap it for a 3.5mm jack if we could we find it hard to be disappointed that there is no microSD slot at these prices.

Naturally these are Chinas prices the global pricing is still unknown Despite this the two Realme Gt Neo 5 models have a real chance of shaking up the premium market.

Lets check out what the rivals have to offer. The Redmi Note 12 Discovery has a 210W charge system and starts at CNY 2,400. Although it has a 200 MP main camera it is only available in China and has a weaker Dimensity 1080 chipset.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro which costs CNY 2,200 in China and 30000 in India retains the Dimensity 1080 chipset and 200MP camera but reduces charging to 120W. The Discoverys 4,300mAh battery can be charged to 100% in nine minutes. With a 5,000mAh battery the Pro can be fully charged in 19 minutes.

Last years IQOO 10 Pro has a snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and a 4,700mAh battery that can be charged with 200W ( 100% in 10 minutes). In China one of these ( 8/ 256GB) costs CNY 4,400.

The IQOO 11 and 11 Pro are now the focus of attention. Both upgraded to the snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. The Vanilla model uses 5000 mAh / 120W and costs CNY 4,100 for an 8/256GB unit whereas the Pro model like its predecessor has a 4,700mAh battery and charges at 200W. The Pro model costs CNY 5,500 for a 12/256GB phone.The 8/256GB iQOO 11 smartphone is available in India for 60,000. The Realme phones lack the 50W wireless charging that the two Pros do.

Additionally there is the Realme GT3 which will also feature 240W fast charging and the unveiled globally on February 28. Realme has not specified how the GT Neo 5 and GT 3 will differ from one another. The two phones definitely share the same design:
